Robert Greene's previous best seller, The 48 Laws of Power, distilled 3,000 years of scheming into a guide People praised as "beguiling... literate... fascinating" and Kirkus denounced as "an anti-Book of Virtues."

In Art of Seduction, Greene returns with a new instruction audiobook on the most subtle, elusive, and effective form of power because seduction isn't really about sex. It's about manipulating other people's greatest weakness: their desire for pleasure.

Synthesizing the work of thinkers including Freud, Diderot, Nietzsche, and Einstein, reporting the enticing strategies of characters throughout history, The Art of Seduction is a comprehensive guide to getting what we want any way we can.

Any additional comments?

I thought the book was fairly interesting. However, it was way too long. The historical accounts became a bit much halfway into the book and it just seemed to drone on and on (as another reviewer accurately pointed out). There is an abridged version of the book. I wish I had bought that instead.

Interesting, but should be a lot shorter

I've seduced several people using the principles in this book, most of them my friends' moms. It really works.

Very Seductive

What does it mean to be seduced? Where is your lover; your dream crush; your ex (I.e., that stole your heart)?

Robert Greene does a great job of inspiring romanticism in a day and age when a swipe left or right can make or break your day - or even your heart.

The Art of Seduction goes over many years of experience through the eyes of Casanova, Don Juan, and many more... It tells a story of how seduction came to be; from the words of (ancient) Egypt, Rome, and China.

I learned a lot about myself - how I love and how others receive my love. The vocabulary was easy to pick up and understand while the premise of the book slowly sank into the depths of love and human hormones.

Read only if you want to delve deep into your desires; into the belly of the egobeast which is risky and fulfilling to indulge.

An open mind will change your life.

This was a good book teaching a lot of things from a lot of novels and historical events and helps the reader realize where they have used seduction and where they have also been seduced.

At the very least the reader will be awake in the future for when they are being seduced by reading this book.

Long but good
