This was just as good as all the other books in this series! The sex was not as taboo as it was in books 2 and 3, it had a more sweet quality to it but it was still a great story. Kinda reminded me of the book the counselor since it had the games/ rituals involved in a southern plantation vibe .

You only get a taste of Spiked Roses in this book but Makayla and Alec go on a whirlwind rollercoaster of intrigue and intense fight of past demons. In that fight Alec and Makayla find love and rekindle a passion for the lake house they forgot. The Colt Brotherhood is a Brotherhood steeped in tradition so deep that nothing can change it. No matter how hard they try, fate will have her due. It gets real intense but in the end this time love prevails. Great book. I absolutely love this author’s style! I am bummed that this is the last audio book in the series. I am now going to switch to the next book in the series. Glad I can still continue though!

This was a good book, good storyline (just like the others almost). I was not too impressed with the female narrator. Makayla was supposed to be a young 20 year old but she sounded like a an old woman...too jazzy or something. I wanted to start singing the blues when I heard her voice. But Teddy did a great job, love him.
