Ella Stanford and Phillip Arden work in the same law office and both agree that work and romance shouldn't mix. When Ella begins to have sensual, erotic dreams that include Phillip as a nameless Master in a sumptuous old castle, she is drawn to the real man, though she knows better than to believe that dreams resemble reality. Little does she realise that Phillip, too, is visited by these same powerful, secret dreams involving Ella's sexual slavery and erotic submission.

In the increasingly bizarre and dangerous alternate dream world, sexy fantasy becomes an all-too-real and dangerous reality. Will Ella and Phillip be able to resist their growing and undeniable attraction to each other, while finding a way to overcome the cruel powers that control their parallel dreams? Can they overcome the dream Master?

I was all set to give the story five stars until about chapter 12. The story isn't perfect, but it has a beautiful pathway to bringing the two characters together - exploring their wants and needs and their connection to each other, and then this third person shows up in the story right as you think the story should be over.

I want to agree with some of the other reviewers that it was waste, and the story would have been better without it... that this malevolent third party was extremely unnecessary BUT I also get what the author was doing. Without the juxtaposition of the delusional wannabe master, the beauty of the couples true loving connection would not be as strongly seen. that said, I get the feeling that this author has encountered a few a**holes in her life who have suggested that there is no difference between the dream master and the real master, and she felt some kind of need to make it extremely clear what the differences are. It wasn't necessary to the story. Though, if I keep that in mind, then it doesn't detract much from the story. The fact that I need to keep that in mind though does distract from the story.

Bear with this book. It could be worth it.

sizzling story, fizzled ending

Pretty good overall.
I liked the concept and the dream world explored, but there were a lot of details and sentences repeated over and over and it really brought down how much I liked the book.

Lots of repeating...
