In this captivating small-town romance, one perfect kiss is all it takes to change two people's lives forever.

Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.

Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near.

Yet, when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not particularly I wanted a fun and funny contemporary the humor was sophomoric and the plot was predictable

What could Jill Shalvis have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I felt that she tried too hard to write a romantic comedy and chose a subject that was not humorous. The over use of weird nicknames for characters got old and made me feel as if the heroine never got arround figuring out who the hero really was, In her mind he was summed up far to easily by three words which only varied slightly over the story

What three words best describe Suehyla El Attar’s performance?

Acceptable not great but not painful to listen too

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

I wouldn't waste my credits

Predictable and overdramatic

The narrator is very good - one of the better ones for the lucky harbor series – however for some reason she decided to give Becca and a few other characters a Long Island accent sometimes. It was so distracting. Becca was supposed to be from New Orleans! And other characters who have been in previous books are supposed to be from the state of Washington where they definitely would not have a Long Island accent.

some parts will make you smile, some will bring tears, very enjoyable addition to the Lucky Harbour series by Jill Shalvis. could have gone without the comments shouted by Lucille when they are talking about their feeling for each other, they weren't funny and we're an unnecessary mood breaker. narrator made several of the characters sound asthmatic, but overall enjoyable. I would recommend this book.

a happy heart touching story.

Love the nickname for gorgeous Sam, SGS (Sexy Grumpy Surfer.). This story was sweet, sexy, and truly heart warming. I adore the Lucky Harbor series, and the fun community that Jill Shalvis has created. You will feel so much emotion throughout the story, and fall in love Becca and Sam immediately.

Love SGS!

Great book! This was my first Jill Shalvis book and I definitely will get more! I couldn't wait to get in the car to go somewhere just so I could have my "me time" and listen to more of the book. The pace was very smooth and the narrator did a wonderful job bringing life and feeling to the book. The story itself was just the right mix of everything without being too much of any one particular topic. You could definitely relate to the characters and their situations....and their emotions. The humor throughout the story was fantastic. The banter between friends and family was funny, witty, and relatable. I don't remember the last time I truly laughed out loud so much during a story. It was alot of fun to get lost in such a great book. Can't wait for the next one :)

LOL. ..... Really! ! !
