Getting pregnant is a good way to cherish a one night stand . . . said no one ever!

Ebony Thomas let her guard down and spent one amazing night with a rich white boy named Christoff from the club. It was supposed to be no strings, no feelings.

She doesn't know he's head over heels in love with her!

Ever since that night, he's been figuring out how to get her back. Add to the fact that his parents keep hassling him to settle down before they sign over his inheritance and he's got a brilliant idea.

Fake marry the mother of his child!

Ebony agrees as long as it's strictly business with no feelings. She could use the help for her kid. But if Christoff has his way with his charming self, then . . . that fake marriage won't stay fake for long!

Contains mature themes.

Good story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends. The story plot was outlined expertly and I loved the ending.

The intrigue of how they came together. When they finally became aware that they loved each others. I love this series.

Christoff was a menace but you loved him anyway.

It is exhausting to encounter stories that claim to represent Black women but instead serve up a hollow collection of stereotypes. When an author—regardless of their own background—strips a female lead of her common sense and agency, the narrative stops being a story and starts being an insult. The "damsel in distress" trope is tired enough, but it becomes actively harmful when the character is written to internalize blame for her own near-victimization, while the narrative pivots to center a "White Savior" as the only source of emotional depth.

I read the book before this one with Bruce so I thought this would be good or doable. No offense sis but I'm noticing a pattern of weak sistas and saviors who are....ya know, but it's corny- I read these types of books all the time but how many times can one woman be attempted to be assaulted or assaulted. Ebony gave me a whole attitude. I think it was made worst by the horrible narrator- ughhh. I'm sorry 😞

The narrative is better not so robotic. A little comical. Still generic sounding with the narrator
