Taking Indigo back to Edinburgh with him seemed like the simplest option, and they could go from there. Saul didn’t know the attraction would burn so fast and hard between them or falling in love would hit like the namesake he was dubbed on the hill. When the man who wanted Indigo had the gall to try to come get her, in Bacchus stomping ground no less. He would understand why Saul was called the hammer in the most painful of ways. To protect the woman he’d fallen in love with, Saul would crumble anyone who came for Indigo from stone to dust.

Bacchus Hill Boys series #2.
Saul Bacchus meets Indigo Cantrell on one of her worst days. She’s lost her job, her home and her hope for the future. When Saul offers her a place to live with no pressure or expectations, she’s grateful but a little trepidation. She finds a job and friends in the neighborhood of Edinburgh but her past has followed. A violent and manipulative tough guy that won’t take a no from Indigo, is ready to force her back to him. The Bacchus men are protective of their town and friends and with Saul falling for her, he vows he’ll take care of the problem.
Today’s popular mafia feel without the illegal criminal element. These are (mostly) good men and are protective and inclusive and charitable. Love this series. I want my heroes to be good. Not just when they choose to be or in select areas only.
Indigo is self sufficient and ready to stand up and take care of herself after a bit of a setback. A little support and belief is affirming plus Saul is just too delicious to resist.
Steamy and tense. Heart flutters and righteous.
🎧 I alternated between a paperback and audiobook. The narration was virtual voice and while never as good as an actor, good enough to keep me listening and invested in the story.
