I have listened to this book about 15 times. It is very upbeat and a wonderful love story. It is not typical and I love all the characters. The storyline is involved and unusual. It is my go to book to listen to if I am having trouble sleeping. It makes me smile and fall asleep easily!

I’ve always liked the character of Smiley and was glad that he found his mate! The evil head of the Woods Church is at it again and this time he has bought a new drug from Mercile to try to frame a New Species. In his zealous determination, he has a bartender dose Smiley and Vonnie when they meet by accident at a bar where Smiley is hanging out during a conference. They both are affected and the resulting consequences have them both falling for each other. That is until Vonnie is kidnapped by the Woods Church thugs! Narration was well done!

I have been waiting for Smiley’s story and it did not disappoint!! He found the perfect mate for him! I loved these two together and will more than likely listen to it again!!

We now get to see how the first primate male bonds with his human. Smiley was such a sweetie to Vannie, there was no way she couldn't fall for him. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all of the book from this series. I hope that LD will write a book for Jericho, I also like both Cindy and Beth for mates for someone. Narrator does a good job as usual.
