We had become work friends only because we got put on a project together. I had asked the other girls in the office about him and they told me he was a player. They never saw him with one woman more than twice, always some new girl. But for some reason I just couldn’t buy what they were telling me. Even so, I kept our work friendship professional. As we talked, I didn’t get the feeling he was a player. I mean he opened the cab door and the restaurant door for me like a gentleman. He was always polite and seemed to take an interest in whatever it was I wanted to talk about. From all appearances, he seemed like the perfect guy. His hand unsnapped my bra with one flick of his fingers. I let it fall from my shoulders as his hands went from my neck and shoulders down my back, his fingertips gently tracing the curve of my spine down to my lower back.
