This just might be a case of “it’s not the book it’s me”.. but I thought the story had a good start as anticipation initially grew - which pretty quickly led to a hot sub/Dom relationship with a ‘secret agenda’ undertone as The Puppetmaster chooses his next puppet. But, apart from the sex, not a lot else happened.. and towards the end the dual POV storyline rushes very quickly through a bit of angst to the reveal. I didn’t really feel any chemistry between the two, I didn’t sense any emotional connection beyond the sex and unfortunately the twist and angst came much too late in the story to make a difference.

Worth a credit? It’s an okay story with okay narration but nothing special.. so meh maybe a sale purchase.. but this is just my opinion - you may love it.
