US Table Tennis Hall of Famer and Science Fiction & Fantasy Writer Larry Hodges has spent most of the past 35 years coaching at the Maryland Table Tennis Center and writing SF stories and novels. He’s been USATT coaching chair, editor, member of board of directors, and is certified as a National Coach. Twice he’s been a USATT Coach of the Year. He’s authored over 2,400 published articles in over 200 different publications, including over 2,000 on table tennis, in addition to over 2,100 blog entries. He has 27 books, both TT and SF. He’s been ranked top 20 in the U.S. and been Maryland, Colorado and North Carolina state champion. He was U.S. National Collegiate Doubles and Team Champion for University of Maryland, where he received a bachelor's in Math and a master's in Journalism. He has over 30 national titles in hardbat table tennis, including U.S. National and Open Singles Champion. He was the 2023 World Over 60 Hardbat Singles & Doubles Champion and 2026 Over 60 World Cup Hardbat Champion. He's been North American Hardbat Singles Champion twice. Larry's also has four novels and over 250 short stories (May, 2026), many of them in short story collections. His best known novel is "Campaign 2100: Game of Scorpions.
