TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GIFT AUDIOBOOKS, BULK GIFT AUDIOBOOKS, GIFT MEMBERSHIPS, CLAIM CODES, PROMOTIONAL GIFT MEMBERSHIPS AND COUPONS

Audible Gift Audiobooks

1. Term and Uses. Audiobooks purchased as gifts ("Gift Audiobooks") will be presented to the recipient in the form of a claim code redeemable for the Gift Audiobook. Gift Audiobooks must be redeemed at Audible.com ("Audible.com" or the "Site") and may be used only for the audiobook given. Claim codes for Gift Audiobooks do not expire and are not subject to any dormancy fee or other fees for non-use. Promotional credits, including credits issued in connection with any trial memberships, may not be used to purchase Gift Audiobooks. Gift Audiobooks may not be redeemed by the same Audible account from which they were purchased. If the recipient has the Gift Audiobook in his or her Library or the Gift Audiobook is not available in the recipient's country at the time the recipient redeems the claim code for a Gift Audiobook, the purchaser will receive a refund in the amount of the purchase price of the Gift Audiobook. Recipients must have or open an Audible account to redeem a claim code for a Gift Audiobook. Audible may, in its discretion, advise the purchaser when the claim code for a Gift Audiobook has been redeemed by the recipient in the purchaser's "Account Details" section on the Site. The sales tax ultimately charged will be calculated when the purchaser's charge is authorized and will reflect any applicable state and local taxes.

2. Limitations.

  • Claim codes for Gift Audiobooks may not be redeemed at audible.co.uk, audible.de, audible.fr or any other website operated by Audible, Inc., its affiliates, or any other person or entity, except as indicated by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Claim codes for Gift Audiobooks cannot be exchanged for other Gift Audiobooks or Gift Memberships.
  • Claim codes for Gift Audiobooks cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other Audible account, except where required by law.

Audible Bulk Gift Audiobooks

1. Term and Uses. Audible offers bulk purchases of Gift Audiobooks via Amazon Business ("Bulk Gift Audiobooks”) to employers, organizations, and other individuals and entities ("Bulk Purchasers") for distribution to employees, members, customers, event attendees, or other intended recipients. Bulk Purchasers must have an Amazon Business account to purchase Bulk Gift Audiobooks.  Bulk Gift Audiobooks are presented to recipients in the form of claim codes, with each claim code redeemable at Audible.com for the specific audiobook purchased by the Bulk Purchaser. Bulk Gift Audiobooks may only be redeemed by recipients in the United States. Claim codes for Bulk Gift Audiobooks do not expire and are not subject to any dormancy fee or other fees for non-use, unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. Bulk purchases require a minimum order quantity as specified at the time of purchase. Bulk purchases may be subject to different payment terms than individual Gift Audiobook purchases, including invoice payment options. Payment terms, pricing, and order procedures will be specified at the time of purchase. The sales tax ultimately charged will be calculated when the Bulk Purchaser's charge is authorized and will reflect any applicable state and local taxes. Bulk Purchasers are responsible for distributing claim codes to their intended recipients. Claim codes will be delivered to the Bulk Purchaser via the method specified at the time of purchase (e.g., downloadable file, email distribution, or dashboard access). Recipients must have or create an Amazon account to redeem a claim code.  Audible may, in its discretion, provide the Bulk Purchaser with access to redemption tracking and reporting for claim codes associated with their bulk purchase. Any recipient information provided to the Bulk Purchaser will be subject to Audible's Privacy Notice and applicable law. 

Recipients must have or open an Audible account to redeem a claim code for a Gift Audiobook. If a recipient is unable to redeem a claim code because the audiobook is no longer available, the Bulk Purchaser may contact Audible Customer Service to request a refund of the purchase price for that unredeemed code. If a recipient attempts to redeem a claim code for an audiobook that is already in the recipient's Audible library, the recipient will receive amessage indicating that they already own the audiobook and the redemption will not be completed. If a recipient attempts to redeem a claim code outside of the United States, the recipient will receive a message indicating that redemption is not possible in their country. No refund will be provided in this circumstance.

2. Limitations. 

  • Claim codes for Bulk Gift Audiobooks may not be redeemed at audible.co.uk, audible.de, audible.fr or any other website operated by Audible, Inc., its affiliates, or any other person or entity, except as indicated by these Terms and Conditions. 

  • Claim codes for Bulk Gift Audiobooks cannot be exchanged for other audiobooks, Gift Memberships, or other Audible products or services. 

  • Claim codes for Bulk Gift Audiobooks cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other Audible account, except where required by law or otherwise authorized by Audible. 

  • Bulk Purchasers may not pool, aggregate, or otherwise consolidate claim codes across multiple accounts. 

  • Each claim code may be redeemed only once and only by one recipient

Audible Gift Memberships

Audible offers gift memberships for its Audible Premium Plus Monthly Plan ("Gift Memberships") that are presented to the recipient in the form of a claim code redeemable on Audible.com. In order to begin a Gift Membership, recipients must have or create an Amazon.com account and accept the Audible.com Conditions of Use and the Amazon.com Privacy Policy. Claim codes for Gift Memberships do not expire and are not subject to any dormancy or other fees for non-use. Audible may, in its discretion, advise the purchaser when the Gift Membership has been redeemed by the recipient. Claim codes for Gift Memberships cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied towards any other Audible account, except where required by law. Gift Memberships may not be transferred.

Once a Gift Membership is redeemed, credits issued in connection with that Gift Membership expire twelve (12) months after the date they were issued. If the recipient of a gift membership has an active membership plan, their membership will not be extended when their gift membership is redeemed. Instead, upon redemption of the Gift Membership code, they will receive credits in an amount equal to the number of months of the applicable Gift Membership and these credits will expire after twelve (12) months.


Audible Promotional Claim Codes

1. Term and Uses. Promotional claim codes ("Claim Codes") are for promotional use only and are void where prohibited by law. Claim Codes must be redeemed at Audible.com and are only redeemable for audiobooks or audiobook credits. Claim Codes expire as indicated on the terms transmitted with the Claim Code. If redeemed for an audiobook credit, the credit may expire after a certain period of time, as indicated on the terms transmitted with the Claim Code. Claim Codes may be subject to additional terms and condition presented with the Claim Code. Claim Codes recipients must have or open an Audible account to redeem Claim Codes. To view the status of a Claim Code, Claim Code holders should visit the "Account Details" section of their Audible account on the Site.

2. Limitations.

  • Claim Codes may not be redeemed at audible.co.uk, audible.de, or audible.fr or any other website operated by Audible, Inc., its affiliates, or any other person or entity, except as indicated by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Claim Codes cannot be used to purchase other Claim Codes, or Gift Memberships.
  • Claim Codes cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other Audible account, except where required by law. Unused Claim Codes in an Audible account may not be transferred.
  • Resale of a Claim Code or use for unauthorized advertising, marketing, sweepstakes or other promotional purposes is strictly prohibited.


Audible Promotional Gift Memberships

1. Term and Uses. Audible offers promotional gift memberships for its Audible Premium Plus Monthly Plan ("Promotional Gift Memberships") that are presented to the recipient in the form of a claim code redeemable on Audible.com. In order to begin a Promotional Gift Membership, recipients must have or create an Amazon.com account and accept the Audible.com Conditions of Use and the Amazon.com Privacy Policy. Claim codes for Promotional Gift Memberships expire as indicated on the terms transmitted with the Promotional Gift Memberships. Audible may, in its discretion, advise the purchaser when the Promotional Gift Membership has been redeemed by the recipient. Claim codes for Promotional Gift Memberships cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied towards any other Audible account, except where required by law. To view the status of a Promotional Gift Membership, Promotional Gift Membership holders should visit the “Account Details” section of their Audible account on the Site.

Once a Promotional Gift Membership is redeemed, credits issued in connection with that Promotional Gift Membership expire twelve (12) months after the date they were issued. If the recipient of a Promotional Gift Membership has an active membership plan, their membership will not be extended when their Promotional Gift Membership is redeemed. Instead, upon redemption of the Promotional Gift Membership code, they will receive credits in an amount equal to the number of months of the applicable Promotional Gift Membership and these credits will expire after twelve (12) months.

  • Promotional Gift Memberships cannot be used to purchase other Claim Codes or other Gift Memberships.
  • Promotional Gift Memberships cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other Audible account, except where required by law. Unused Promotional Gift Memberships in an Audible account may not be transferred.
  • Resale of a Promotional Gift Membership or use for unauthorized advertising, marketing, sweepstakes or other promotional purposes is strictly prohibited.


Coupons

1. Terms and Uses. From time to time, Audible may, in its sole discretion, give rewards dollars in the form of coupons to existing Audible account holders ("Coupons"). Coupons may only be redeemed at Audible.com and are redeemable for Audible content only. Audible will deposit a Coupon directly into the account holder's account and will send the recipient an email stating that the Coupon is available. When the recipient makes a purchase on the Site without using membership or other credits, Coupons will be the first dollar amount used towards the purchase amount. The full amount of any purchase, excluding taxes, will be deducted from the Coupon amount, up to the total funds available. If a purchase made with a Coupon exceeds the amount of the Coupon, the balance will be automatically charged to the credit card Audible has on file for the account holder. Coupons expire as indicated on the terms transmitted in the notification e-mail. The value of a Coupon will be determined by Audible in its sole discretion.

2. Limitations.

  • Coupons may not be redeemed for the purchase of Audible content at audible.co.uk, audible.de, audible.fr or any other website operated by Audible, Inc., its affiliates, or any other person or entity, except as indicated by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Coupons cannot be used to purchase Gift Memberships or Claim Codes.
  • Coupons cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account, except where required by law. Unused Coupon balances in an Audible account may not be transferred.


General Terms

1. Risk of Loss. The risk of loss and title for claim codes for Gift Audiobooks, Bulk Gift Audiobooks, Gift Memberships (including Promotional Gift Memberships) and Coupons pass to the purchaser upon Audible's electronic transmission to the purchaser, recipient or delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable. Audible is not responsible if a claim code for an Audible Gift Audiobook, Bulk Gift Audiobook, Gift Membership (including Promotional Gift Memberships) or Coupon is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.

2. Additional Terms. Audible Gift Audiobooks, Bulk Gift Audiobooks, Gift Memberships (including Promotional Gift Memberships), Claim Codes, Coupons and their use on the Site are subject to the Site's Conditions of Use, available at www.audible.com/conditions-of-use, and Privacy Notice, available at www.amazon.com/privacy-policy. Audible Gift Audiobooks, Bulk Gift Audiobooks, Gift Memberships (including Promotional Gift Memberships), Claim Codes or Coupons or any related claim codes are issued by Audible, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

3. Dispute Resolution. Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Site, Audible services, Gift Audiobooks, Bulk Gift Audiobooks, Gift Memberships (including Promotional Gift Memberships), Claim Codes or Coupons is subject to the dispute resolution, governing law, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability and all other terms in the Amazon.com Conditions of Use.
