I only came to this tiny mountain town to help my sister open her café. It was supposed to be a quick job—get her kitchen up and running, bake a few weeks of pastries, and head back to my very normal, very human life.

Then Luca walked in.

Six foot something of muscle and smolder, all wrapped in flannel and smelling like cedar and trouble. He ordered a cinnamon twist, bit into it like he wanted to ruin me, and suddenly I was imagining a lot more than baked goods in his mouth.

He kept coming back. Hanging around the counter. Watching me like he could eat me whole—slowly. There’s something wild in his eyes, something that makes me forget every sensible reason I should keep my distance.

And when I find out why he’s so intense—why his gaze follows me like I’m the only thing in the room—it doesn’t scare me. It makes me want him even more.

The problem? Wolves are possessive. And Luca… Luca’s not here for just a taste.

It was a good short story. Abit rushed story wise but pretty good.
I look forward to what happens next.

It’s decent

I love the open and honest communication between the leads and the sense of small town community that just so happens to have a few supernaturals amongst the people my only critique is I wish there was more to listen to

Sweet and spicy

This book was OKAY. Almost meh. In fairness, I was expecting a queer cozy complete with a murder, amateur sleuthing, predictable cat and mouse love story mixed with small town mayhem. Instead, I got a full blown erotic fantasy without much intrigue or excitement. The steamy bits were well done but the rest of the story fell flat.

Hoping for a cozy but

If Lifetime made supernatural queer romance movies.

This was a super fun read. Boy visiting cozy mountain town to work at a bakery / cafe and meets gorgeous carpenter with "secrets". The whole premise of this book is the town itself is very special and this human just doesn't understand how special it is. I felt the whole story read like a Lifetime love story and it was just fun. No angst or drama with very likable characters. I really liked how realistic the conclusion felt too. In a world of paranormals this story is very believable.

I listend to this as an Audiobook with Virtual Narration. The experience was mostly like listening to a screen reader reading an eBook. It was okay with odd moments of strangly pronounced words. Proper narration would have made this one hundred percent better.
