"The fantasy series I've been waiting for my whole life."
—Angie Thomas, #1 New York Times-bestselling author of The Hate U Give

Alice must save Wonderland from itself in A Crown So Cursed, the long-awaited third audiobook in L.L. McKinney's Nightmare-Verse series.

Alice and her crew are doing their best to recover from the last boss battle, but some of them keep having these. . . dreams: visions of a dark past—and an even darker future. Sadly, the evil in Wonderland may not be as defeated as they’d hoped.

Attacked by Nightmares unlike any they’ve ever seen, Alice will have to step between the coming darkness and the mortal world once more. But this time is different. This time, the monsters aren’t waiting for her on the other side of the Veil.

They're in her own backyard.

the first book was just okay for me. not bad just okay. it felt all over the place to me.. the second one was a good deal more focused and I loved what was happening with Chess's character development. the third book WOW!!!! I love that Nanna Kay was the link. I thought there was something with Alice's dad, like maybe he was a dream walker and the like but Nanna K being the red queen....YES. just phenomenal. I do hope there is another book. you can't leave us hanging with Addison, chess and Humpphrey not remembering. amd I would love to know more about this splitting that the first nightmare spoke of. I assume Chess and Humphrey are like split Humphreys. chess is a lot like what Addison says Humphrey was like. still a lot of losses ends. looking forward to them being tied.

so glad I saw it through!

I love that this book validated all of my theories. Such a satisfying ending although I think there is one plot point that wasn't wrapped up nicely. All in all, Alison Kingston is one of my favorite new literary heroine. I hope maybe for one more story....maybe two.

I loved it when a plot comes together....

the ability to take a known fable and transform it into something new, yet keeping the characters relatable to the original story was amazing. I could imagine each character as they related to old and new characters combined.

amazing story with transformed characters
