When Nicole Rayburn adds a historic bookshop to her list of promotional venues, she meets the owner, Deborah Dolan, who’s desperate to discover what happened to her Victorian ancestor. Irina is a brilliant storyteller and I flew through all six books.
Her attention to detail was superb.
I could see myself back in those timeframes and felt the joy and sorrow of each character.
The narrator was perfect.

Out of all the books, I think this one took me a while to get into. Overall, the story is great. She has hard to focus on.

I really enjoy this author. this was a busy kind of read, though. There seemed to go back and forth a little bit of confusion, but I love the story of grace.And how her life ended.

This one had Nicole on a wild goose chase for the truth about the past parallel story and it was very entertaining. This has some suspense for once, and had me feeling terrible for grace. It also had me pulling my hair with the grace and bird girl situation. The only gripe I have again is the Covid talk through out the book.

I love Irina Shapiro’s books; reading 22 of them all kept me engaged in the story. The narrator’s performance was excellent. I hope there will be a book 7 to this series.
