From the gigantic Cliffs of Moher on the west coast to the cosiest pubs of Dublin, Ireland is a tourist’s dream.

A Local’s Guide to Ireland: 50 Shades of Green is the perfect companion for your visit to the Emerald Isle. Whether on a brief cruise ship stopover or a lengthy tour of the four provinces, this short guide has everything you need to make sense of the country.

Ireland really is a small island, with each of the major cities just two to three hours from Dublin by car.

This book breaks the country down into the main areas of interest to visitors: Dublin, the capital and one of the world's best cities for music; the East, featuring the Wicklow mountains and historic County Meath; the South, with coastal County Cork and the rugged beauty of County Kerry; the West, exploring the cultural center of Galway City and the "Wild Atlantic Way"; and the North, the province of Ulster and the troubled but vibrant port city of Belfast.

Written by Alan Kavanagh, a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Ireland who has brought Irish music around the world playing on all the major cruise lines on the planet, this guide offers a unique perspective on the cultural and natural attractions of the island of Ireland.

With stunning photographs and all you need to know to make the most of your trip, A Local's Guide to Ireland: 50 Shades of Green is the must-have companion for Irish holidays in 2021.

We had lots of extended family and friends visit us from Canada, so I got to listen to listen to this audiobook as we drove around Ireland. It’s like having a friendly tour guide travel with you, lots of little fun facts and anecdotes that were even fun for me as a local. The audiobook is lively too with little sprinkles of music throughout it.
I will recommend this anytime we have friends come to visit us! 10/10
