I have to admit that I am more of a non-fiction reader. I have read some fantasy novels over the years with some enjoyment. However, when I listened to this riveting tale I couldn't hit stop until I knew how it was going to end.

Quackenboss does a superb job developing his characters and keeping the storyline easy enough to follow while transitioning through time and from the point of view of several main characters.

Freer absolutely personifies Patrice. Yet, his other character voices and voice acting is so on point, it kept me excited to hear the next character.

I don't mind admitting that this made me very excited for the next book in the series!
