Highly decorated Chicago firefighter Trick Quinn is renowned for his charmed life. No victims have ever died on his watch, he cherishes his wife and daughters’ love, and he even won the lottery the first time he bought a ticket. His luck disintegrates when he’s accused of depraved acts, plunging him into disgrace. Every attempt to prove his innocence sucks him further into a warped nightmare that threatens his job, his freedom, and his family.

Dutiful Zamira Bey is at an unenviable crossroads: choosing between finding her happiness and restoring her Muslim family’s honor. When the notoriously savage firefighter becomes a court-ordered client, the paradox between the honorable man and the allegations ignites her curiosity. Not only is her growing attraction unwelcome but threatens her career and guarantees community ostracism.

Bound by their common battles, Trick and Zamira fight to uncover the truth and protect their families, all while facing a growing vigilante threat in a city shaken by terror.

Wow! What a tricky tricky story! Call me impressed with all the twist and turns this one takes. It also feeds off info from Gretch in the last book. Not that you have to listen to book 2 but it is a nice addition to this one. I liked the look into Zamier’s personal life. It was interesting to me. Trick’s story I loved as it was filled with ups and downs. It really showed how much friends and family can help in times of need. The only thing I did not care for was the relationship that starts between the two MC since he is just shocked by divorce papers and discusses his loyalty to his wife.

Narration is a struggle for me as it has been the whole series. Elizabeth Russell does a wonderful job but in here her Trick voice was not my fav. Michael’s vocals are just too low for me.

Wow! Very suspenseful

This is the third book in the Damaged Heroes series, a romantic suspense, and I’m really enjoying this series. Trick and Zamira’s story is entertaining, captivating, and filled with tension. The mix of action, danger, and suspense kept the story engaging from beginning to end. Michael Joss and Elizabeth Russell delivered great performances, bringing the characters and the story to life. I’m looking forward to listening to Incendiary Attraction, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Wow. I couldn't believe the turn this book took from the happily married man we saw portrayed briefly in the last book. I was like whoa. You don't have to listen to the other book to enjoy this one, but it adds layers. I was so captivated by this book that I had to stop to do something else and was annoyed! It was so many different twists in this one that will have you rooting for the good guys and trying figure out who is on Trick's side!

Sarah Andre is a gifted author who includes an impressive amount of details as she builds her stories and her writing, plot and world building are incredible. This third book of her “Damage Heroes” book is Patrick “Trick” Quinn and Zamira Bey’s story, a romantic suspense that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Trick loves his wife, his daughters and his job, and he thought everything in his life was on solid ground, but he gets the rug gets pulled out from under him when allegations are made against him. None of them are true and he is not sure what to make of them and was in denial at first, but as the pieces fall together, thanks to his brother and those who believed him, he learns who he really married. Assigned to the case, Zamira was supposed to stay neutral, but she sensed something was not right in Trick’s case and the allegation made. The longer she spent time with him, the more convinced she became. Trick had some good people in his corner, but it was an uphill battle trying to prove his innocence, and it took a team to figure it out. Zamira had her own inner battles going on, trying to remain a dedicated to her religion and her family, who had a lot riding on her dutifulness. There is never a dull moment in this book and the story has plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and the start of a new friendship and romance. Sarah Andre, thanks for another intriguing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Now this is a romantic suspense with some meat to it! The third book in Sarah Andre's Damaged Heroes series features Trick and Zamira, and their meet cute is not your typical. Trick is happily married with two kids, that is until he is not. His wife is has served him with allegations seeking everything from him. Scrambling to figure out what is going on and getting to see his children, he meets Zamira, a woman working on his case. She automatically thinks he is guilty of the accusations, but quickly feels there is something amiss. While she is dedicated to her job, she has her own family issues going on and that leads to a twist I know I didn't see coming. From there, this story raises the suspense, takes on twists and turns and leading me in all directions. I loved this one, thinking it may be my favorite so far in the series, and now I am off to hear more in book 4.

Michael Joss and Elizabeth Russell continue their narration of the series. This book was highly emotional and these two use their talents to bring each feeling out. It's real, it's scary, it's passionate and it's amazing. Grab this one, you too will love it!
