The book series is written as if all the SAT words and every thesaurus word had to make it into each paragraph. That combined with some sort of alliteration rhyming challenge between the authors prevents the plot flowing smoothly. Book 1 these failings were noticeable, but they get worse with each book in the series.

The virtual voice on this one was actually better than I’ve heard on other books. That said it is still distracting. I only put up with virtual voice because I can’t see well enough to read and can’t afford to pay to for as many books as I need to entertain myself. I liked the story and anticipate listening to more by the author especially if read by a human.
