In a desperate fight, we captured one of the machine empire’s factory planets. Can we now defeat an interstellar superpower that has exterminated thousands of sentient races across the galaxy and slaughtered billions of us in the solar system?

Not bloody likely, but Captain Jon Hawkins is on a mission. Using new warships from the factory planet, he’s searching for alien allies, more battle stations to storm, and death machines to kill. He’s buying us time to turn the solar system into a fortress...if he can stay alive long enough.

A.I. Battle Fleet is the fifth audiobook in the series chronicling humanity’s grim war for survival against the galactic machine juggernaut.

The books are fun, the characters typical yet fun as well. It’s a good story written by a good sci fi author who’s books I always buy and am never disappointed!

Can’t wait for the next

Another great addition!

I like the series overall, but dammit, how many times can you use the "brain tap" device as the source of the problems that come up in the story? Common sense dictates to either destroy the device or disable the damn things. Lazy writing...

Quality is going down into the "void"

Jon Hawkins and company try to induce the evolved A.I. into being an ally, or least become another enemy to the broader A.I. conglomerate. In their proceeding battles, they find a new ally and another alien species that is fighting the A.I., but sees humanity as too inferior to interact with.

Psychological warfare ensues

Good listen in the series. The story didn't seam to drag too much in some parts. The only complaint is he can tone down on all the god talk as it adds nothing to the story and is kinda off putting. other than that it's a good book.

tone down on the god talk.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book [spoiler alert] but there are moments a mentalist should have realized certain obvious facts. Take for example when they were attacked by the 5% light speed missiles, cmon anyone would have realized that they were being fired on coz the other aliens thought they were A.I. controlled ships. It took them what?.. too long to figure that out. That was just drawn out maybe to set the stage for the Void ship encounter but it almost ruined the whole series for me.
But good read all in all.

Good but...
