What would you do if you were given a second chance?

Titus Briggs is an Earth Defense soldier, a grunt, a decorated war hero—it's all he's ever known. So when a career-ending injury leaves him lying in a hospital bed, missing both legs, he struggles to accept his new reality. He can no longer walk, which means he can no longer fight.

That is until a mysterious colonel arrives and offers Titus the opportunity to step into a new kind of war, a new kind of fight. To become a new kind of soldier.

Mobile Combat Suits—MOCOMS—represent the next stage in human warfare. They enable soldiers to fight like never before. Stronger. Faster. Bristling with weaponry. Far more lethal.

Even a disabled veteran like Titus can operate one… if he can find the heart, grit, and determination needed to pass selection.

Now, with the end of humanity upon him, Titus must become the Able Bodied Soldier.

I honestly love the story. The characters have amazing story development and show growth in ways that are actually reasonable. I am excited and sad i have to wait for the next book.

Great story with even better character design/development

RC Bray brought the story to life. I started listening and didn't stop until the end. There are a lot of mech and alien books, but this one is written in a way that is relatable. Each character is developed organically and doesn't feel rushed or forced. I can't wait until the story continues.

I really like R C Bray, But for the life of me, I can't separate his voice for Joe Bishop. Opps hehe. This new series seems at first glance to be a spin off of the merry band of pirate's. Which isn't a bad thing, looking foward to more novels in the future.

Expitionary Force 2.0?

Already had an affinity for the authors so I knew I’d probably like this out of the gate. But I wasn’t prepared for this story. It has a lot of intensity from highs to lows, from laughs to “something’s in my eye”. Military jargon is right-on and so are the characters. This is absolutely one of the BEST stories by anyone I’ve come across, in some ways even better than Galaxy’s Edge, (maybe not all the books though). Immediately went looking for the next book, hurry up and wait. Oh yeah, and R.C. Bray gives it life, enough said.

ok…WOW! Just…WOW!!!

A very good story, that doesn’t lead you down a path of forever forever and then be like…to be continued. While there’s is room for more story, you feel satisfied at the end. Great story!

Short and sweet!
