Kael Lin survived the collapsing Mystic Realm, thinking the worst was finally behind him. But in the ruthless world of cultivation, escaping one death trap just leads to the next.

While his strength has reached new heights, Kael returns with a grim discovery: strange parasites are hiding inside the skulls of the kingdom's elite. Before he can investigate, a more personal crisis strikes—Aria Duo has been taken.

Held captive under the guise of "protection" by the Star River Sect's Ancestor, Kael finds his Golden Core completely sealed. The true danger is no longer the beasts of the ancient realm—it's the smiling Nascent Soul master standing right in front of him.

MC gets help from A LOT of people and lets his people run wild in some self-righteous kick but as soon as he is in a position to make things better for them and end the tyranny…. Peace is suddenly the best route. Letting things stay the same way.

There is a ton of inconsistencies, one of the main ones being the ridiculously random power scaling. The whole story(including the MC’s main hurdle) hangs on an issue he just ignores once he is in a position of power. Dude might as well have died given all the sacrifices people made for him just to write off the main villains when it was convenient for the plot(cause it made no sense from any sensible perspective outside of creating problems to lazily add to ‘plot’).

Even the nepotism they complained about doesn’t change once he has power.

MC is a hypocritical idiot
