The Mormon faithful begin the long trek west in 1846 searching for their promised land. The trek proves more miraculous, challenging and costly than ever imagined. The trail is littered with human sweat, tears and graves. It is necessary for the Steeds to split up and hope for a sweet reunion at the trail's end.

I loved the whole series so much more then I thought possible. From the first series the story just gripps you and doesn't let go until the last. I can't tell you how many times I wept living the sorrows and joyous moments of the Stead family and others. note yes the conversion from CD to audiobook wasnt the best but for 95 percent is more then adequate. highly recommend all of the books.
