With the plot against them foiled and the city of Qi-Katai in safe hands, newlywed and tentative lovers Velasin and Caethari have just begun to test the waters of their relationship. A pleasant listen. mostly predictable with a couple of nice turns and some charming characters. perhaps not the deepest book you'll ever read, but warming and refreshing.

An amazing follow-up to A Strange and Stubborn Endurance. Same voice actors, same couple, different harrowing adventures and brand new steamy sections. I do so hope that there will be a 3rd installment, but this series is absolutely going in my top 3

It is nearly a perfect story filled with political intrigue, mystery, magic and true yearning. I’ve now bought the series as a hard copy and re-listen as a comfort read. Brilliant.
