Alpha Clash delivers a strong opening to what feels like the first act of a much larger superhero saga—think the early stages of an MCU-style arc. The story and pacing are solid throughout, with enough intrigue and action to keep things moving. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more detail in certain scenes or a richer sense of place at times, but I understand this is book one, and it's laying a lot of groundwork for what's to come.

The dialogue ranges from witty and enjoyable to a little flat here and there, but overall it gets the job done. It’s best to think of this like an omnibus comic book introduction—big energy, lots of characters, and a promise of more depth in future installments. On that level, it definitely succeeds.

As for the audiobook experience: I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to narrators, and while some scenes and characters were performed really well, others didn’t quite land. Certain parts were hard to hear or just didn’t deliver the energy I was hoping for. It wasn’t bad by any means—just not always phenomenal.

Overall, Alpha Clash is a great start to what I hope becomes a more fleshed-out and detailed series. If you're into superhero stories and enjoy discovering new worlds being built from the ground up, this is worth your time.
