A #1 national bestseller from the authors of Walk in My Combat Boots, celebrate the devotion and sacrifices of our nation’s bravest heroes with this collection of stories from those serving in the line of duty.

U.S. soldiers who served in overseas conflicts—from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan—share true stories of the actions that earned them some of America’s most distinguished military medals, up to and including the Medal of Honor.

I cannot tell you how much this old Navy vet lived this book. It is an honor for me to call these men and women my brothers and sisters in arms. Some of their stories made tears of sadness and anger surface as I heard the loss of their lives.

One of the best books of American Heroes

This book is a reminder that freedom is not free. It is the result of the hard work of others who sacrificed so much for us to enjoy the freedom we have today. We owe them an immense debt for the sacrifices they made to insure our way of life was secure in this great nation! The book is well done and brings to life the true spirit of the American warrior. This is a wonderfully moving tribute to the men and women who have fought for our freedom.

I listened to the author's interview on the Jordan Harbinger Show, and I listened to this book. There are life lessons learned from the stories the soldiers or their families told. Your mind is stronger than your body.
