I came for the tiger tale and was moved by the deeper story. Such a good story and woven together beautifully. I also appreciated that the author read it himself -- great writer and reader!

I think this book is ripe for becoming some sort of Walt Disney movie that is reminiscent of the ones I would stay home and watch with my family on Friday nights. I love the story. I love the characters. I remember this loose tiger in real life. Very well written.

Such a well crafted story, told with heart, brains, and soul. I was hooked early and it kept me eager for more all the way until the end. Recommending it to everyone I know!

inspiring, exciting, filling

I really enjoyed the development of the story and having some familiarity with the actual story (having lived nearby at the time) made it even better ... very cool to entertain alternate fictional endings.
Also, tying in the wind phone, the original story of which I had heard on the “This American Life” podcast was an interesting and thought provoking side story. A good way to connect the relevant characters.
I thought the narration started a little adolescent but as the story progressed Adam’s narration developed nicely and improved through the changing voices and accents of the many characters.
A good read and good conversation for our book club!
