Izzie Di Sante loves a challenge but not so many on the menu at once. With sudden personnel changes, she’s juggling the staff schedule for the family restaurant. An Itch for Danger is the 3rd book in the Izzie Di Sante mystery series by Christa Nardi. Izzie is busy managing her family’s Italian restaurant full time. But, she still finds time to work with the police and pursue her investigative journalism career. The current cold case Izzie is working on is that of a young woman who’s body was found washed ashore. I love the characters and their relationship - Izzie and her sister Chloe (the chef), Izzie and Henry and everyone with Tiramisu! I lived in Maryland where the book is set and enjoy hearing about places I know. The book is well written with a great plot and subplots. It’s definitely part of a series as the characters grow and mature, but it can still be read as a stand-alone novel. The narration by Liz Wylder Boyer is great. She gives unique voices to each character that brings them and the story to life.

This was extremely suspenseful. It kept me guessing until the end. I enjoyed the beginnings of a sweet romance element too. An entertaining mystery I recommend. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a good job.

Beautifully written with a smooth easy flow, fabulously developed, real feeling, likable characters, AND a story FILLED with engaging, entertaining, action filled, lifelike and beautifully BELIEVABLE plots and sub-plots, “An Itch for Danger” is a cosy mystery that will capture your interest, keep you guessing, and most of all, entertain you from beginning to end! The icing on the cake? Beautifully narrated and suitable for all! I loved everything about this fantastic listen! Five fabulous stars!
