It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her 17-year-old sister, Penryn, will do anything to get her back.
Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.
Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.
Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels’ stronghold in San Francisco where Penryn will risk everything to rescue her sister, and Raffe will put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listened to this book all at once and started the second one! I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. Well written!Amazing read

Where does Angelfall rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I really loved this book. Angels seem to be the newest supernatural obsession and I can see why; they're dasterdly! Jealous, petty, brutal, and full of pride. Just like everyone else, but they have better weapons.Who was your favorite character and why?
Well Raffe of course. The forlorn brooding Greek god-like work of art, even with wings castrated is still a formiddable specimen of Angel yumminess. Penryn's great too. What does Caitlin Davies bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I always have a hard time answering this type of question. Its just fun to listen to these stories. It really makes my day wizz by at work. But I did love her impression of Pennryn's mom. "Penrynnnn!", she would say. Love how she drags that one out.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were funny moments. Raffe has a bit of dry humor as only a creature that doesn't understand humans, but is now forced to live with them, could.Any additional comments?
Fun book, can't wait for the next!I guess angels are the new zombie.

If you could sum up Angelfall in three words, what would they be?
Unlike other similar stories, the lead caracter acted logically and even showed some self-preservation instinct! Loved the book for that - it is different from the other YA stories!Have you listened to any of Caitlin Davies’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to any of the narrator's performances before, but this one was pretty good.Any additional comments?
Interesting book, a little bit unusual theme - angels, definitely will wait for the second book! Really loved the first one! The other good think about the book - not too much romance and enough action. Exactly as I like!Exceeded my expectations!

Angelfall was one of the first books I purchased and read on my kindle…I took a chance on this back in December of 2011, knowing absolutely nothing about it, I think it was priced at 99Cents and I remember thinking while I was reading this…this is really good…a lot better than the last book I had gotten (whatever that one was). To this day, it's still the best Angel book I've ever read. I think that's because of it's unique storyline of an Angel Apocalypse. Also, maybe a little to do with a hot brooding Angel (Raffe) and a kick-ass heroine (Penryn).Caitlin Davies is exceptional as Penryn
