In the third book of the Araminta Spookie series, Barry Wizzard’s frogs are stolen and Araminta and Wanda must find them. If you’re looking for chapter books for kids ages 6-10, this series from Angie Sage, author of the New York Times bestselling Septimus Heap series, is a great choice. Usually Araminta gets blamed when something's amiss in Spookie House. But this time she had nothing to do with the disappearance of Barry Wizzard's frogs, and she is determined to find them. It's not going to be that easy, especially when dealing with a crazy character named Old Morris, a dangerous shark, and a demanding aquarium show audience. Can Araminta find the frogs and steal the show? Uncle Drac’s creepy vampire nephew comes to visit and Araminta wants him gone—another funny, weird adventure in the Araminta Spookie series from Angie Sage, author of the New York Times bestselling Septimus Heap series. This fun and spooky chapter book series is perfect for listeners in first or second grade. What's lurking in the basement? Araminta thinks something horrible is hiding in the deep, hidden passages of Spookie House—could it be a werewolf? Then Max, Uncle Drac's creepy nephew, arrives and Araminta is sure he's up to no good. Araminta comes up with a plan to figure out what Max is up to—and also to capture the werewolf. But will it work? Chapter Books Chapter Books & Readers Education Fantasy Fiction Humorous Fiction Literature & Fiction Relationships Scary Stories Primary Education

This series is for young children.....But Katherine Kellgren makes this book so much fun I listen to it all the time. She makes the characters especially Araminta Spookie so much fun. She lives in a house that is haunted (sort of), with a vampire (Sort of) with and family of wizards (sort of) and ghosts (sort of), and her AUNT really. GOOD fun Love BIG BAT

As a kindergarten teacher, I'm always looking for new authors and books and was pleased to find this series from Angie Sage. Like the first one, this was spooky fun and with halloween just around the corner it may be a good choice for 7 and 8 year olds. I'd also recommend Journey Beyond the Beyond for sticky gooey icky fun.
