Chapel Crest isn't for the weak. It's for those who wish to watch the world reduced to ashes and screams. The Watchers went too far. Locking me up with the monster who tried to kill me eight years ago wasn't the way to win my heart. It was the way to break it.

When Seth comes to collect on the bet he made with the Watchers, I know I'm in for a world of hurt.

Because Seth Cain isn't the nice boy I once knew. He's a demon in this asylum from hell.

And if he finds out the Watchers have already claimed me, he could very well finish what he started all those years ago.

To make matters worse, I'm the target of more than just the cruelty of the Watchers and Seth. There are worse things lurking in the dark at Chapel Crest, and I don't know if I can overcome all of it.

None of this is about my sanity. It's about my survival.

Ashes is a dark asylum academy romance with multiple love interests and a girl who will never choose. Everyone is a little crazy at Chapel Crest.

Dark, nightmarish, and gut wrenching character development in a series that takes the full world it is building seriously. Excellent full cast and voice acting bring this story to life.

Another solid bit of storytelling

I will absolutely devour any audio with duet narration but duet with multi-cast… take my money please!

I was around 40% through reading this book, I should’ve just waited but I couldn’t… when I saw audio released I started back at the beginning and OMG soooooo worth it… this cast is beyond perfection! I caught things I missed while reading w/o audio… I can’t say enough about each narrator so perfect! Absolutely heartbreaking to listen to stitches vs just reading the words… J. Tipstone truly brings the pain through the words AND ugh let’s hope “Sinful” redeems himself! Can’t wait for the rest of the audios!

OBSESSED with this series!

I absolutely love this series . I’m on time 501 of reading it from start to the last available audio book. Bravo kg bravo .

Amazing narration

Two things I hate:
1. When the bad guys are allowed to win over and over (or at least until the very end of the very last book of the series).
2. When the second or third book in a series has the FMC and the MMCs separated for virtually the entire book. (Two strikes for "Ashes.")

The first book was definitely dark, but it also had some great comedy and some romance/spice to balance the suspense and heartbreak. This book really had no redeeming qualities, and consisted largely of the rambling inner monologs of various mentally ill characters. It was depressing from start to finish. (I actually had to take breaks just to watch the news for a little relief!)

I'll try one more of the series, but if the rest are like this, I'm out.

This story has taken an unfortunate turn...

First — pay attention to the triggers. These boys are no joke.

Second — the narration is top tier. 1000% recommend.

Ashes is such a sweet guy and his story is hard to hear. He definitely has his problems but I feel like he’s the softest of the bunch.

There is a period of time during this story where I almost put it down (READ THE TRIGGERS) The narrators make everything so much more real so it got tough. Trust the process and the journey.

The story with Serena is getting really deep and more and more characters are popping up. I’m excited to see where this is going.

Oh my dear Ashes.
