Retelling the stories we all broadly know, but doing so from a different perspective, with deeper back stories to lesser known characters, and modern morals revitalizes these ancient stories.

I had unexpected feelings of remorse for Medusa after listening to her side of the story. I assumed going into this I already knew the myth and it would be a basic retelling. I enjoyed how the author humanized Medusa.
