The answer to why people feel and act the way they do lies in the profound effect of a child's bonding process with his or her parents. How successfully we form and maintain relationships throughout life is related to those early issues of "attachment". The author has cited four primary bonding styles that explain why people love, feel, and act the way they do.

This book is for anyone who desires closeness, especially in the most intimate relationships: marriage, parenting, close friends, and ultimately God.

Best book ever

I thought it was read by a robot. But the book itself is very informative. I loved how it was biblically based and tied scripture into attachment.

Great Information but Not Great Narration

The narrator was horrible and difficult to endure. Halting and elementary speech. The book was fascinating. I wish the narrator would just talk conversationally. Instead his performance was an F. Ruined it.

I really wanted to listen to this book. But I discontinued it after a chapter or two because the extremely robotic voice of the narrator was very distracting from any kind of content assimilation. that's a shame... having read the book it really is pretty good but this narrator makes it impossible to listen to.
