ARE WE IN SLUMBER AND NEED TO WAKE UP?
Yes, it appears that we all are in deep sleep and need to be awaken. This is asserted by Author Samael Aun Weor.
I quote below Author Samael Aun Weor‘s lines…
“It is necessary to know that humanity lives with its consciousness asleep. People work asleep. People walk through the streets asleep. People live and die asleep.
When we conclude that the entire world lives asleep, then we comprehend the necessity of awakening. We need the awakening of the consciousness. We want the awakening of the consciousness.”
The Author Samael Aun’s passage "The Awakening of Consciousness" presents the idea that humanity lives in a state of unconsciousness, functioning on autopilot in daily activities. This state of "sleep" means people are unaware of their true selves and the deeper realities of existence. The text argues that awakening consciousness is essential for true understanding and spiritual development.
Under spiritual illumination, Humanity's deep sleep is attributed to a fascination with life's distractions. People become entranced by various things: alcohol, beauty, wealth, hard work, family, etc., causing them to forget their true selves and live like sleepwalkers, oblivious to the dangers around them. Clairvoyants can see people dreaming about what fascinates them.
People are captivated by the mundane aspects of life, leading to a state of profound sleep or unconsciousness. Examples include a drunkard being fascinated by alcohol or a worker being engrossed in their labor. This fascination extends to the point where people dream about their daily activities even during physical sleep.
Similarly, When the physical body sleeps, the ego leaves it, engaging in the same activities that fascinate it in the physical world. In the Internal World, carpenters still work in their shops, policemen patrol, and so on. Most do not realize whether they are in the physical or Astral Worlds. However, those who question their reality during sleep can awaken in the Internal Worlds, gaining insight into the Superior Worlds.
In the same way, to awaken consciousness, one must practice self-remembering and questioning reality regularly. By asking, "Where am I?" and attempting to float, one can engrave this habit into their subconscious, helping them wake up during sleep and explore the Superior Worlds. This practice helps combat the fascination of the physical world, allowing the awakened to study and understand the mysteries of the cosmos.
