Alora Dennison is an orphan, the last of a disgraced bloodline barely tolerated in her ancestral pack. Shunned and isolated, she’s spent her life in the shadows—unseen, unwanted, and trying to survive.

But everything changes on the night of her Transition—the sacred rite marking her passage into adulthood. In front of the entire pack, fate binds her to a mate for life. Only it’s not the man of her dreams. It’s Colton Santo—the arrogant, ruthless heir to a rival pack and the last person she could ever love.

Colton has made it no secret that he despises her. His pack, poised to unite the fractured kingdoms under one rule, has treated Alora like dirt beneath their boots. Now, she's not just tied to him—she's thrust into a political storm, a dangerous game of power, and the crosshairs of a war long thought forgotten.

As ancient enemies rise and old grudges resurface, Alora must unravel the mystery of her cursed lineage—and why Colton’s father is so desperate to see her dead. The imprint has made them fated... but fate doesn't guarantee survival.

Will Colton honor the bond—or be the one to break it forever?

Held my attention. Performance rating is because of the ai voice reading. It was missing the inflection and tone that you get with a real person reading the book. Since I use a screen reader, it had that lack of personality that I have come to expect with my readers. If you are not used to that, it may be a downside. Overall I enjoyed the story.
