Ashley's father was not a storyteller. He didn't chase the supernatural, and he wasn't the kind of guy to make things up. He called it the Hellcat after the trail behind his parents' property, and the story stuck with Ashley long after her father passed away in 2016. What unfolds from there is a deeply personal conversation about generational spiritual warfare, from a hex placed on her dad in Southern California to Freemasonry in the family line, a spirit of suicide that plagued multiple people in her life, familiar spirits operating in the homes she lived in with her young daughter, and a childhood moment where God shielded her from an exploding pot of grease that covered the entire kitchen but never touched her skin.
