“Send Coach John a message”

I found a couple of items this morning that clicked with me, so much so that I didn’t want to wait until I came out of the gym. One was a post from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) where he shared this gem: “The magic you’re looking for is in the work you’re avoiding.” - Chris Williamson said this. I have been avoiding things that I know I need to do. Some out of fear, worry, anxiety; but others because I’m wasting my time on other items that distract me. The other item of this podcast came from a former student. Ashley posted a picture of our Principles of Leadership class from 15 years ago!! Those “kids” were such a big part of not only that year for me, but also my entire career. Her post reminded me of the gratitude that I have for the thousands of people that I got a chance to work with while at Lake Shore High School. It also reminded me of how I’m actually still “teaching” that course! It is the foundation of this podcast and the lessons I’m sharing and still learning are things that I pick up every day. Amazing lessons that I’m glad to have shared before the gym instead of after. Thanks for listening.
