King of Zion City Faces Federal Charges for Alleged Fentanyl Distribution: Bond Revocation Sought
A forty-two-year-old man, known as the King of Zion City, is in hot water again, this time facing federal charges for allegedly selling fentanyl across East Baton Rouge Parish businesses. Clyde Jones Junior was indicted last week in Louisianas Middle District on charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess fentanyl, as well as straight-up distribution. Investigators claim to have witnessed him selling the drug from locations like one on Greenwell Springs Road, with undercover buys occurring from October 2025 through March 2026. Jones already had state charges from a 2023 drug bust, where authorities found fentanyl, cocaine, hydrocodone, and Suboxone in his possession. Prosecutors in District Attorney Hillar Moores office now seek to revoke his bond due to these federal charges. Jones missed court on April 16th but has another hearing scheduled for May 8th. Michael Coleman was also indicted alongside him for fentanyl distribution on March 25th. This ongoing saga highlights the intensifying efforts of both federal and state authorities in combating drug trafficking.
