This is a standalone audiobook without a cliffhanger. The remaining books in the series can be heard in any order.

Being a professional escort comes with its vices. To keep women from getting too clingy, stop them from dropping their panties, and silence them before they can blurt the L word, Rhett has made certain rules. He never breaks them.

Ever.

    1. No Kissing.

    2. No Feelings.

    3. And definitely, absolutely, no sex.

But when Aspen, a beautiful brunette, hires him to help repair her image to her family, things get complicated. Rhett's never had a problem separating work from pleasure. But now work and pleasure seem to be one and the same.

I debated on 3 or 4 stars. I did like the characters . Wanted more of Troy, he seemed pretty funny. chase was cute & obviously Rhett & Aspen were fun. it was just a little slowih & sometimes a little annoying but it was a sweet story.

want to hear troy's story

Great story but the male narrator brings the overall impression down.
Its terrible important that the narration does not disturb the story, in this case it sadly does.

Male narrator sounds like a robot digitized

Such a great book. Both characters had struggles through out the story, not only within their person lives that they had to deal with but then when they were together, it was following the rules. They were both pretty much thinking the same thing and obviously didn't know it. When it came to the break through with his brother, I cried with how sweet it was. I'm a sap. I'm so glad Aspen was able to finally express herself to her father and still have her HEA.

Forbidden Love

Aspen was desperate for her Father's approval and has been promised his Company but is put in a situation where she needed an Escort to parade in front of her Father so she could pretend to be in a relationship. In walks the very fit, gorgeous and sexy Rhett ready and willing to help her but his Company's rules made it clear that it was only going to be 'fictional'... no kissing, no intimate touches, no kissing and definitely no sex. However, they became very good friends - leaning on each other in times of stress, eating together, playing Battleships and generally hanging out with each other and it was all 'off the clock'. Very slowly their instant attraction turned into friendship, dependency and love and in the end they nearly broke all the rules.

A nice contemporary cute love story with some angst created by her Father, a remorseful unfaithful ex Fiancé and his bitchy new girlfriend but basically this was a meandering love story that was very slow to develop, had some amusing conversations and some sweet scenes with Rhett's brother who was literally afraid of shadows. But, IMO, everything was all too nice..... Rhett was nice, Aspen was nice, their friendship was nice, their love story was nice and the one sex scene (I think only 1) was nice. And see that's my problem because I don't just want 'nice' I want Alpha, badass, gritty, feisty, passionate, sizzles, off the charts sexual chemistry, rip their clothes off hot and sweaty.... in other words fireworks. Told from both POV's, the female narrator almost talked in a whisper she was so nice and, when she was with her friend, I couldn't tell who was talking. But the male narrator was slightly better.

Worth a credit? Well, it depends on what you're looking for..... if it's an easy-going enjoyable light listen then you've just found your book but if you prefer a listen that's got fever and fire then perhaps pass on this one.

A 'NICE' LISTEN... BUT SADLY NOT EARTH-SHATTERING

I really enjoyed the different backstory of how Rhett and Aspen get their start. The reasoning behind their meeting was reasonable and believable despite the odd circumstances that they come together. Their relationship was fun to listen to with their light-hearted banter.
I really enjoyed the secondary characters especially Aspen's best friend Harper and Rhett's brother, Chase. They had some really great scenes and brought some fun to the story for sure.
The ending seemed a little rushed as it was hard to believe that one of the most disgusting characters in the book makes a complete turnaround so quickly. Despite the seemingly rushed ending of that character the rest of the ending was great and kept me eager to find out what happened - I listened for 4 straight hours because I couldn't wait to find out how it ended!
I enjoyed the female narrator, Laura Jennings, and would give her a 5 star. However the male narrator I would've only given a 3 star. He tried to do laughs throughout the book when it was called for but he did it way too often especially when they sounded fake and forced. However, although I wouldn't recommend he do that in future books, it didn't turn me off from this book and I would give him a try on another future book.
Definitely recommend as a good buy!!

Well that was unexpected...
