A proposal worth considering....

For werebear Silas Vane, finding his True Mate has proven more difficult than he imagined and he's getting grouchier by the minute waiting for her to come along. When a nosy, new hire starts asking questions about why he wants to marry so badly - he tells her - so he can have sex every day!

Fresh out of graduate school, Lexi Durham takes her first counseling job at Denali Crossings, a wilderness therapy camp in rural Alaska. When she spies on the super fine camp cook looking at an Internet dating site, she offers to help. Silas gets the surprise of his life when she offers to be his sex once-a-day girl. It's a deal he can't refuse, only she's a human, and things could get complicated.

I had previously read it and enjoyed it as an ebook, and the audiobook is even better! The female narrator made this novella even more vivacious, funny, and sexy than it was as an ebook. My only minor complaint about the narration is that I wish that she had made Silas' voice deeper, but it wasn't too bad.

This is a really fun series, and this first book has everything I am looking for in a light paranormal romance: humor, likeable characters, a hot guy, paranormal stuff, and sexiness. I love the setting in the Alaskan wilderness at an outdoors camp for were-bear teenagers with emotional or behavioral problems. It was a little unlikely and illogical for the were-bears in charge to have hired a human counselor when they never intended her to discover that were-bears exist. Other than that inconsistency, I was quite pleased by the characters and by the story. Lexi is a feisty, likeable young woman who just finished grad school and takes this job in remote Alaska. Silas is the grumpy, good-hearted, and gorgeous camp co-owner and cook. He is also a were-bear. He really wants to find his true mate so that he can have sex every day, and he stubbornly believes that a human woman could never be his true mate. The sex scenes were good and moderately steamy. I liked the interactions between Lexi and Silas and how strong-minded Lexi is. She is no pushover, so she is a really cool heroine.

A cute, quick, fun romp with a were-bear in Alaska

All she wanted was an early breakfast, what she ended with was something over the top, and breathe taking. Then there was more!

She was drawn to Alaska, but didn't know why.

Awesome book full of sexy shenanigans and shifters. Solar has his mind set on what should be about his future until he meets Lexi who throws everything he know to be true out the window. Lexi is no fool she know what and who she wants and she will do whatever it takes to get him to follow his heart.

Finding love wherever style.

Beauty and the Bear was a short shifter tale that was a fun listen. Lexi is sunshine compared to Silas and his grumpiness. Lexi is all outgoing and wants to be hired on full time. Lexi and Silas quickly fall into an agreement and somehow it doesn't feel like the story wedged it in. The chemistry is believable between the two. I really liked the good guy side of Silas and how he worked with the kids at the camp. I liked listening to Teri Clark Linden as she wove all Lexi and Silas's voices as well as their internal dialogs.
