This was my first read by Evie Daniels. The story itself was enjoyable but something was missing. I wasn't engaged as I typically am. I felt like the characters lacked energy. I'm usually indifferent to narrators but I felt sluggish listening to the story. I didn't have a true sense of the characters personalities.
