In this New York Times bestseller from James Patterson, six kidnappers pursue a whopping ten-figure payout in this thrilling novel.

Five members of a billionaire’s family. In different locations. All kidnapped at the same moment.

Two children taken from a private-school bus. A film producer and a movie star grabbed at a hideaway resort. A beautiful wife whisked off the streets of Beverly Hills. A patriarch wants his family back. The cash, gold, jewels, and crypto are all ready.

There’s only one problem: a brilliant, very stubborn FBI agent. Special Agent Nicky Gordon doesn’t want to pay the kidnappers. Not a dime.

I enjoyed this book but I did find it a little predictable. A little disappointed.

Good. A little predictable.

Exciting, suspenseful story. Enjoyed how it all ended. The narrator was excellent and could change her voice so well to fit the various characters.

A great story!

Slight spoiler alert.

The narration was good except for certain parts where the character is yelling. The narrator literally yelled in my ear and I had to turn my volume down - chapter 94 is a good example of this up and down voice fluctuation. The story was good but there was no good detective work that unraveled. The clues seemed to fall into the task force’s lap. The mole on the task force was annoying but how else could the kidnappers keep one step ahead of the task force?

Interesting but not earth shattering

Virtually no development of how and specifically why the main character was supposed to be so evil. T the story development is not worthy of such a distinguished author. Greatly lacking in in-depth and smoothly presented plot. Tons of of twists and turns for the sake of “fill-in” is worthy of high school

Great idea, but amateurish in its development

Predictable and without much suspense. It is enjoyable as background noise. Not one of his best.

Nothing exciting
