I wish this wasn’t a virtual voice. The story was good but that voice was awful especially the male role.

Blade & Sophie: triggers- domestic abuse, animal abuse, fraud and embezzlement. I liked this story even though it's really short, it had a lot going on and felt like a complete story. Sophie is living with her aunt and cousins and is severely mistreated. She meets Blade at a fundraising event that his president's old lady was throwing. When Blade sees her he's immediately enamored with her because she does not seem like the rich people at the party. So he decides he will make her his. Only Sophie's story is darker than he expected. So good. Very steamy. Only I wished the author would have finished the part of the story having to do with the "curious" club girl.

I disliked the virtual voice and the feminine voice narrating the male chapters. I prefer more animation in the reading.

A fierce, sensual, exciting and addictive romance that had me swooning from beginning to end. This may have been a fast paced story but it packed a big punch. I enjoyed going on this intoxicating ride with Blade and Sophie.

Overall the storyline, characters, and the pace is great. Blade meets her at her aunt’s gala and notices her pain, lonely eyes, the kindness in her towards animals and her secondary clothing.
Sophie lost her parents when she was young and her aunt became her guardian. She was starved, worked like a slave, abused by her aunt and cousins.
Her aunt stole money from Sophie’s trust. Blade rescues her when he finds her battered, and sleeping in a car in the bitter cold. Instant attraction. HEA! Epilogue.
