The overall series is ok. The disappointment lies in the extreme arrogance of the main character. He is new to the supernatural, but denies or acts like the supreme expert

I love, among other things, the concept of a magic user imbibing drugs and alcohol as tribute to his deity.

-Full transparency- I was given a free cooy but would definately have spent my credits on it if I knew what I was getting. these books are addictive!

I’m a retired Navy Submariner. I know how it feels to come home to find the loss of a loved one and to have to compartmentalize your life. The loss of main characters and sacrifice of some brought back memories. I have never teared up having read a book, but book 6 did it for me. I fully understand if this review is not shared, could be a spoiler, but Brad should know his stories do make connections.

This was my first time diving into this world, and wow I’m hooked. It’s such a fun mix of special forces style military action and paranormal elements, and it just works so well. The narration is fantastic and really brings everything to life. I finished the first book and instantly jumped into the second because I couldn’t stop. I also found out there are crossover characters from other series, which makes me excited to check those out too. I’ll update after I get a few more books in, but for now, this is an absolute blast to listen to and super hard to put down.

Just finished book two and I'm still loving it. I will come back after I finish book 5 and leave a final review.
