Lieutenant Joe Gunther is in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom investigating a minor embezzling case. I’m hooked on the series - love the main character Joe Gunther. Like the way he thinks. The story was complex but I still enjoyed it and will go on to the next in the series.

I was going through my Gunther stories collection and realized that I couldn’t recall this story at all.
I drive a lot due to my job so most of the stories are like background noise and this was one of those stories that I put on just for that purpose.
So I decided to listen to it again and I’m glad that I did.
I missed so much while listening the first time and I’m ticked off at myself because I really enjoyed this story a lot.
The twist and turns were great. It started slow but I actually like this because I can follow along like I’m right there watching the pieces fit together like a puzzle.
The story kept my attention this time. Especially with that twist at the end because I didn’t see that coming.

Glad that I listened to this one a second time.
