I’ve been reading a lot of very dark, intense stuff lately and wanted something light. This filled the bill. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that, like a lot of books, the author kind of put the breaks on the sexy times about two-thirds of the way in. There seems to be some unwritten shared idea that “Okay, that’s enough heat; from now on it’s all sweetness and talking.” After all the talking, I was hoping for a final hot scene, but the talking just continued.

The narrator was excellent and did a good job of differentiating the voices as well as sounding smooth and sexy. I’ll look for his work again in the future.

I love this. Truly. The entire book was spent building the relationship between the two characters. Tons of dialogue. You could feel their connection and you can feel it as it continued to grow. I love books that feel like they’re real. I hate the absurd situations and ridiculous protagonists that often get thrown into romance books. This was just so good. I’m so happy that I read it.

This is one of my all-time favorite books. I have read it so many times, mostly in audio because the narration is amazing. One of Glen Lloyd’s best in my opinion. It’s also my favorite book by N.R. Walker. I love this love story, it’s so sweet and fun without ever getting boring.
