Welcome to Twilight Cove, the gateway to a world of witches, goblins, and sassy black cats.

A strange message and ominous warning send Gypsy back to her hometown of Twilight, seeking answers from her doting parents. When she arrives nothing is as it should be. Her parents have disappeared into thin air, and she is the prime suspect.

But then things get really weird. Gypsy’s idea of reality takes a fall down a rabbit hole when she discovers that not only do witches exist, but she is one. If that isn’t bad enough, her hometown is transformed into a place she doesn’t recognize, literally. Through it all, Gypsy must rely on her mystery solving skills to uncover a killer before she becomes his next victim.

Warning: Contains elements of high fantasy/urban fantasy, dark crime, and sarcasm.

this book was fantastic. Love the fairy tale type scenarios. The Grimm brothers, witches, vampires, elves, fairies, dwarfs etc. Gypsy goes back to her home town to see her parents. She finds them missing, her twin brother is already missing and has been since they were kids. She goes to the police about her parents but no one seems to be to concerned. She goes back to the woods to the cabin that was in the woods that her brother was going to go in. She goes there and meets her fairy god sister who warns her not to open the cabin door or her world would change. Of course Gypsy does not listen and finds herself in a different realm. She finds a dead body as soon as she get there, meets the brothers Grimm. She finds her parents and realizes they are much shorter than they used to be. She finds out her parents are dwarfs and she and her brother were adopted by them. She is also a witch. Now the adventure begins. She is determined to find out where her brother is and what happened to him. Also there are girls that have gone missing. One dead. Gypsy finds herself mixed up in all this. I loved this book and i look forward to more in this series. The narration of this book was fantastic. I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

A little bit of everything. A mix of a few Grimm Fairy tales with a lot of Hansel and Gretel.
Lots of Paranormal elements.

Narration was a little slow so I had to listen at a faster speed.

This was a review copy that I received and this is my honest review.

This is the first book I’ve read by Kendra Ashe and this is a this book in what I hope will be a long series as Ms Ashe built an intriguing world with some really interesting characters. The book is well written and gives the read just enough of a resolution to the current conflict to be fairly plausible but leaves much open to cause the reader to want more.

The narration by Lynn Devereux is credible and certainly enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

Overall I would recommend both the story and the narrator!

I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series.

I’m hooked!
