Wow. Well, the burnout topic was a familiar one for me. I have most definitely faced workplace burnout, as well as depression, compassion fatigue, anxiety and stress. All of it. I appreciate how the author makes distinctions between these ailments and sheds light on the way forward. I wish I'd had this back when I was in the middle of all of it.

I feel like the identifying of them was written with such depth and empathy, that that alone was healing. But the author then goes to speak into ways on how to bring healing in those situations, and I am very grateful work like this is being put out there.

As for "Calm the Mind and the Body will Follow" - when I listened to this, I got so motivated. Decluttering, journaling, gratitude. And I went to my family to go be present with them and just enjoy life. It really brings forward the appreciation for the time we have, and shows you the importance of living more fully and valuing the time I spend! I feel like the minutes I had were all the more quality having listened to this!

In short - there was a lot to make your life better, sweeter, richer. And that's what we're after. Healthy mind, healthy body. Also, the narration was very pleasant, in my opinion.

Personally, there were some later elements that leaned a little into New Age spirituality that aren't my cup of tea. However, I do appreciate the author's method of presenting. The author offers a variety of tools and ways to engage (or not engage) with each one. Also, I feel like tools that may be more spiritually rooted for some, were presented in ways that you could look at them from a more mathematic or scientific perspective, or not at all. The book kind of sets a buffet for you, and you pick what works.

All in all, if you were to apply even one or two things from this book, your life would definitely be enriched. I know mine was.
