This purchase was a random book choice for me. I know nothing about the author nor have I read anything else written by her. Somehow this audiobook was enough to keep me hanging on but not sure I’ll move on to book two. I found this story to have a lot of details that don’t seem to matter even if they end up being significant in later books. Just too many open ended questions in book one while I was trying to find any reason to like these characters. Nothing in book one to make me pull for the relationship or feel a connection with any of them. Seems to be a disconnect in the “world building”. Murky history with no real background or relationship connections to living predictably on the top floor of the high rise they all share.
Not enough for me to find out from five points of view how this story ends.
Hopefully it gets better for those willing to purchase and continue on.

I love this story so much. David William Keegan does a marvelous at separating the characters. He changes his voice for each male role and it makes the book that much better!
