This is a a coming of age story in a way, there's heartbreak, war, booze, and all the thing that make you feel for the protagonist, that poor bastard.

Tripp and Gang leave me wanting for many of their talents for the other novels, in smoke pit fairy tales. so now it's time to finally purchase the books, and wait patiently for vol 5 to be read. 10/10

First of all I'd like to say I hope Tripp figures out a way to bring Hank and Doc back into this... Weren't they supposed to be immortal?! If anyone could survive the nuclear holocaust on Earth from World War 3 it would be them!!!

I mean yeah this was acted very well but I could have done without the high school musical drama bullshit that took up most of the story and especially Samoom? Samoon? whatever it is. I mean she was beyond repugnant literally had me wanting to punch my phone 😂 That's probably the effect that Tripp was going for, at least I hope so.

I mean she was just insufferable...

Anyway bring back Hank and Doc as a couple of badass Space Marines kind of like Doom guy. 👍👍🤙

I’ve loved the story and read the books already, but listening to this… the crew’s performance was above and beyond. Absolutely amazed by the job these folks did… about the story, now: seat of your pants blood violence, gore, and all the normal conflicts a young, half alien space marine will go through. Not for uptight bitches.
