This semester at Bloor's Academy brings a few changes. There is a new art teacher, Mr. Boldova, and a new student, Belle, who lives with the Yewbeam aunts and seems to have a strange power over them.

Emma and Charlie soon discover Mr. Boldova's secret identity: He is the older brother of Ollie Sparks, the boy who lives in the attic of Bloor's Academy. Ollie had always been prying into matters that didn't concern him, so Ezekiel Bloor made him invisible. When Charlie and his friends find him, Ollie is alone and hungry. They promise to make Ollie visible again with the aid of his brother, Mr. Boldova.

I enjoy the fact that Tanc is afraid of spiders and other bugs. I also like Mr. Boldovers talent. Plus Ollie is BAE

I was a big Harry Potter fan and I heard about this series and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the first book, but this one was even better. The author is really hitting her stride. Definitely not just for kids!

Even better than first book in series

Charlie's world is opening up, from being shut away at school, then building a network of friends, gaining clarity on his enemies, and having previously rescued Henry Yewbeam, now he goes on to a life of saving others: a mouse, a rat, a snake, an orphan, a toe, a teacher, a sorcerer, an uncle etc etc. Charlie is clearly on a heroic binge. What I can't figure out is why Ollie Sparks had to go a whole year without shoes and a bath.
